1:World Conference has ended

It’s awesome time! The doors for the 1:World Conference will open at 7:30 AM. Upon arrival, please pick up your conference shirt and scan in with your district-issued badge (District Employees Only). Breakfast will be available in the Student Union at 8:00 AM and keynotes will begin at 8:30 AM.  For your convenience, lunch purchases can be made from a variety of food trucks located in the west parking lot adjacent to the cafeteria. There are also a number of local dining establishments near Byron Nelson High School. The conference will end each day at 4 PM. District employees will need to scan their district-issued badge upon departure each day.

1:World is a BYOD conference. Participants should plan to bring a fully charged device.

Learn the basics of Chromebooks to become familiar with the new device that will be issued to NISD middle school and high school students in Fall 2016. Topics include an overview of the Chrome-based operating system, basic Chromebook tasks and keyboard shortcuts, as well as how to access Google Drive, Microsoft Office applications, Moodle, and school email. Educators will leave this session with a general understanding of how students will use Chromebooks, both in their classroom and at home. This session is designed for NISD secondary educators. Participants do not need any Chromebook experience, and Chromebooks will be available during the session for participants to gain hands-on practice.
